The Brief

The state of play when they walked in.

Australian Lighting & Fans sells lighting through four showrooms, Oakleigh, Cheltenham, Clayton and Narre Warren, and a web store that ships nationally. Lighting is a showroom category: people research online, then walk in to see the light on.

The engagement built for that behaviour: the brand and each showroom’s suburb search held at position 1, a Google Business profile funnelling each store, and a category page for every product family a sparkie or renovator might spec.

The machine runs at full scale: 16.15 million impressions, the category’s own generic query on page one, and the Business profiles pushing 13,549 clicks on top of the organic count.

Clicks by page

The category, not just the brand 1,390 Clicks on lighting stores melbourne, position 3.3. Generic category queries are the hardest real estate in retail search. This one belongs to ALF, with near me and lighting stores close behind.
The trade categories 13.9K Clicks across LED profile, battens, floodlights and under-eave pages. led batten light at position 9.3 on 24K impressions. The sparkie speccing a job finds the showroom's shelf online first.
The ads engine 69K Shoppers a year through the campaigns the engagement runs, carrying 3,745 conversions. Performance Max keeps the catalogue in front of the market, and the four showrooms close what it starts.
The compounding effect Brand, category, four suburbs, every product family: the whole ladder of lighting intent, one retailer at the top of each rung. The 25-27% click-through on showroom searches is walk-in traffic the web numbers barely count. Lighting is bought in person; search decides which showroom.
The Quiet Numbers

What it's actually worth.

Retail economics against the shopper volume.

The online year $647K+ 143.7K clicks a year, converting at category rates and a $150 lighting order. Online only: it counts nothing sold across the four showroom counters that search walked in the door.
The showroom multiplier 4 doors Every position-1 suburb search ends at a counter no report sees. A renovator's lighting run is hundreds to thousands of dollars a visit, and the visit started with a search this account owns.
The audience scale 378K Shoppers a year across every channel the retailer runs. A third of a million people touch the brand annually. At showroom order values, the demand runs to seven figures before the web store is counted.
The number $647K+ a year online at the floor, with four showrooms converting the rest of a 378K-person audience. Lighting is bought in person, and search decides which showroom. This account decided it in ALF's favour, four suburbs over.
