The state of play when they walked in.
Blue Lotus College (RTO 45392, CRICOS 03790G) graduated 200+ students in 2025, holds an AIHE pathway agreement with university routes to Torrens and Southern Cross, and runs a student services team that advises international students on transfers, fees and rights free of charge. AABT College (RTO 45457, CRICOS 03734D) teaches trades the way trades are learned: a Lonsdale Street main campus, a Carlton North cookery kitchen, a North Melbourne construction space, and five building and construction courses live.
In 2026 the market split. The National Code Standard 4 amendment banned commissions on onshore student transfers, a 12-month suspension froze new private VET entrants, and provider closures left enrolled students inside 14-day transfer windows. The commission-agent model that fed half the sector stopped working; the colleges that work directly with students inherited the ground.
The audit found one problem: none of this was visible where students decide. BLC’s advisor voice read as generic course promotion on Meta. AABT’s three working campuses read as a course catalogue. The strategy’s job is simple: publish the truth each college already operates.
Two colleges, two true positions.
The strategy publishes the brand each college already runs in real life.
BLC is the advisor: the college that helps students in trouble, commission-free. AABT is the real college: three working campuses in a market of office-floor RTOs.
The disrupted-student audience is real and underserved: closures and caps left enrolled international students inside 14-day transfer windows, chased by the same commission agents the rules now ban. BLC’s student services team already advises them at no charge. AABT’s practical classrooms already outclass the CBD’s catalogue RTOs. The content pillars, Real Help, Pathways, Real Classroom, put that proof in the feed where students actually decide.
Iris, running student intelligence.
Live under the Blue Lotus brand. Students, enrolments and engagement in one place.
The copilot itself. Chats through the day: which enrolments need action, which cohorts are moving, where attention is needed.
The colleges today: enquiries in flight, tasks due, the day's shape at a glance.
Every student by course and stage, from first enquiry to enrolment.
The regulatory surface watched daily, so changes are met with a plan, not a scramble.
The strategy: who, then what.
Personas mapped to funnel stages, and a content pillar built to move each one.
We don't just deploy AI, run ads, or optimise for results.
Because in a world of fleeting trends and market noise, the only real strategy is to build something unmistakable.
